The women behind it – world renown chef, Stephanie Alexander, her idea is simple have fruit and vegetable gardens at schools and then take it a step further – have kitchens close by – so that the children learn to grow the food, harvest it, prepare and cook the food and to ultimately eat the food. It started in Victoria – it is now going nation wide. Brilliant idea.
