We’re doing our first ever sq.ft. garden with the upright system and I can’t believe how much food we are getting from it! I’ve had Mel’s book for 10 years but I credit Patti’s energy and enthusiasm for getting me out there planting. She’s amazing.
I just found the Garden Girl about a week ago and I’m HOOKED!!! I’ve been thinking about sustainable farming for years but am finally in a position to do it. I look forward to many more videos. I also LOVE Mel! His tips are great. When I talked to my Mom about square foot gardening she thought things needed to be in rows to grow right. I explained to her that nature would have planted things in rows if it really was ideal. She’s cheering me on now. Grow babies grow!

I would use HEMP and NOT NYLON
Mel’s book is great. Can’t wait to plant the seedlings in the square foot garden! I live in MN, so we have to wait until late May for outdoor gardening. Thanks for posting this useful info as usual
