Well it’s real easy to make and very inexpensive so give it try. It certainly can’t hurt. Let us know how it works…… Donald

Think it would do well on apple trees? sevin doesn’t work that well.

  3. webcajun says:

It does depend on the weather and the amount of insects in the garden. If your plants are blooming back off on the spray to allow for pollination. Once a week I think would be OK …… Donald

    Awesome. Thanks.

And another question – how often do we need to spray? Once a week? or does it also depend on the weather?

    thanks again

  5. webcajun says:

I would think the hotter the pepper the better. You do want to use “soap” and not detergent. I’m told detergent will burn / kill the plants……. Donald

does it have to be jalapeno peppers? they are not available in my country. Would bird eye chilli work well too – as they grow in abundance all around my yards and I am thinking the hotter the better lol -? And the soap, I don think we have Ivory brand. Is it like regular bath soap (I barely remember), Thanks :)

    pretty helpful, thanks.
I’ve been watching your awesome videos and I finally decided do plant some seeds. I’ve planted carrots, rosemary, bell peppers, cucumbers and garlic. See how everything turns out. Thanks again.

With as much rain as we been having I haven’t used it as much as I’d like. Years ago I used just soap and water to keep the bugs off cauliflower and it never had a bad taste. I wash all my vegetables before doing anything with em so I would think the stuff will just wash off……. Donald

    You’re welcome…… Donald

  10. carllos25 says:

hey, Donald. How often do you have to spray the plants? Is the flavor on the plants going to be spicy, or with a wash will go off? I am growing tomatoes and cucumbers, thank you.

  11. webcajun says:

From what I’ve been hearing … as long as people use soap and not detergent it’s OK……. Donald

  12. pugletman says:

also sprayed on one topsey turvey Italian version of a beefsteak lol np so far

  13. pugletman says:

Ps of course before strain I blended it the the magic bullet in case that was not obvious

  14. pugletman says:

Seems my mixture is working. I had aphids on 3 starters, a yellow peach tomato an early girl and a japanese cucumber. No more! They are gone and no bad effects on the plants! Checked my basil and eggplants too, no sign of them! I think I may be on to something! If it keeps working and does not hurt 4-6″ starters great! Wish everone luck maybe try my recipe if you do not have hot peppers and see what you think?

  15. webcajun says:

Well the longer it ran the more it grew……. Donald

  16. webcajun says:

I did not have hot peppers, but I have tried making home bugs spray for my veggies before. This time I do a small (magic bullet sized batch) using a good large tsp of chopped garlic, 2 bags of peppermint tea, A couple shakes of ground ginger, and a finger sized sprig of rosemary. I shaved a little soap, (not ivory, close) then strained through a cloth. Put in 24oz regular hand sprayer and filled the rest with water. I hope it works! shaked up and sprayed. I will follow up if it works.

  23. young2880 says:

would u use this on tomatoes plants ?

  24. webcajun says:

I only put what I showed in the video. There was a whole bar of ivory cut up in that jar, don’t need that much for only 2.5 gals. of water……. Donald

  25. dukemorrill says:

I was wondering, do you only put the small about of soap you blended in the video, or do you put the entire mason jar, and just cut blending it from the video?

    Thanks,
    Paul David
