Where can I get a garden hose cut to a specific size?
Posted by greenthumb in Gardening QuestionsI’d like a very short garden hose that I can connect to my bathroom fawcet, so I can more easily and effectively wash the tile inside of my shower. I have 11ft ceilings and the tile goes all the way up.
I already puchased the adaptors so I can connect a standard garden hose to the sink fawcet. The shortest hose I can find is 15ft., which is still much longer than I need.
Thanks!

If you have the adapters, its fairly easy to connect them yourself, just be sure you have them on very secure. Simply cut the hose to the length you want, fasten it to your sink faucet, and if you need to add an adapter to the end where you cut it, that is also very simple to do, just follow the instructions.
You can buy these little clamp things that will repair a garden hose. You cut out the part that sprung a leak, then connect the two cut ends together with the clamps.
Just use that, and cut the hose to the length you want, using the clamps to reconnect the cut pieces.
In my local hardware store, they carry a replacement piece for the hardware on the end of the hose (where you would connect a sprinkler or other attachment), in case that piece gets damaged.
If you can find one of those, then you can cut the hose to whatever size you want and create a new end with that hardware.
i bought a three footer a Sears
look for the one that is a connector hose for from the faucet to a hose reel… it’s not more than four ft or so…..find it near the reels at Lowe’s…
Any Industrial Hose distributor can cut a hose to any length you want with GHT (Garden Hose Threads) couplings.
If the 11" reach is an issue you might want to consider getting a watering wand from a Garden Center or Home Center (Lowes, Home Depot, etc.). These are metal extentions used to extend your reach.
You might also find the Adjust-a-Power Nozzle (Dixon Valve # AAPN75GHT) which is widely used in Forestry fire fighting worth checking out. It allows you to adjust and narrow the stream to achieve the most effective reach.

Of course if you have an old garden hose around that you can salvage using repair couplings would be an easy way to get the hose any length you want.
What a load of codswallop of the majority of replies. Greenthumb was asking where she could get a piece of hose cut to the size she wanted, not how to connect with adapters, nozzles, or the like. Doc was the nearest to the answer stating that any industrial hose distributor could cut a length.
