Hi all, we are getting ready to get some uncharacteristically cold weather for this region. My veggies out in the garden are still rather small and I don’t want them to die. What are some ideas to protect them?

Bottles with the bottoms cut out . Some people use those tomato cages with plastic garbage bags over them . If it is just one night or so you can leave the sprinkler on slow and they won’t freeze . They won’t get any colder than the water flow .
You can buy thin clear plastic at the hardware store very cheaply. It is usually used for a drop cloth while painting.
Cover the rows with the plastic to keep the frost off of the plants. Be sure to remove it as soon as the sun comes up, or it will cook your plants.
You can use newspaper, plastic tarps, plastic grocery bags, light weight sheets, etc., etc.
