I live in northern Sacramento County and it is sprayed nightly for west nile virus. I have a substantial vegetable garden, and I wonder about any side effects the spraying does has on my garden. I hose it down every morning.

I don’t want to alarm you, but please contact your County Extension Agent/Service and ask this important question concerning vegetables. The service is free and paid for by your taxes, so don’t be shy about calling them.

‘Joannes’ link poses some interesting possibilities, like pesticide resistant, predator-less, super skeeters. Odd program for a tree hugg’n state like California. I would think your vegetables will be fine but maybe not edible. RScott
