It's best to water in the morning. Water once. And water deep (for a long time). And only water when the plants need it or when the soil is drying out. Watering every day leads to rot and other diseases. Even in the hotest climates, you should only need to water every 2 or 3 days. Keeping soil too moist is unhealthy for the plants.

When you water deep, you promote deep root growth. Watering with more freqency and for shorter periods causes shallow root growth.

Best of luck

I think it is better to water a garden at night. This allows the water to soak into the root zone and rehydrate the soil and plant. If you water during the day, say between 11 am and 3:30 PM, the water is more likely to evaporate before getting to the roots and root zone. If you want the plants to live then you are going to have to water the plants when they need it. If you use some sort of mulch around the plants the plant will have more available water for longer periods of time and thus not require as much watering.

It depends on what part of the country you are in. Here in the south we water early in morning and only about twice a week so the garden gets about 2 inches of water per week. If you water too much you might get fungus or root rot.

It is better to water any garden in the morning, because of evaporation it sets the plants dry out during the day if watering at night the plants stand a better chance of molding How often depends on the day,the wind, the heat and the humidity of your location

It is better to water in the early morning, between 5 a.m. and 8 a.m. This gives the water a chance to evaporate off the leaves before the sun gets too high. Water droplets on leaves will act as magnifying glasses, and cause burning.
Watering at night does not allow the plants to dry off. This opens them to mildew and other fungal diseases.
Watering by drip irrigation or soaker hose is better for flower and vegetable gardens. It puts the water where it needs to be, at the roots. It also prevents evaporation. Putting mulch down also helps hold moisture in the soil.
Lawns need to be sprinkled. There is too much area for soaker hoses.
Watering deeply once or twice a week should be sufficient, however; you need to check the soil moisture depth and adjust accordingly. Watering shallowly will cause the roots to grow shallow and die. Watering deeply encourages deep root growth. Plants with deep roots are less prone to drought and heat stress.

1) I think you should water a garden something like once every four days depending whether its rained or not.

2)You can water pretty much anytime after midday because the sun won't cause the water to evaporate. But I don't think its good to water in the morning because if you get water on the plants leaves it may burn the plant.

Try and water either before the sun comes up, or after it goes down, but not in the full sun please.
