There are a few cats that follow a route through our back garden and was hoping someone knew a way to get rid of them? I don’t want to poison them or anything though.

Get an airgun – and shoot them … the other alley cats will soon get the word that Dibble is about…

They hate pepper, so if you put some pepper on the route they take they shouldn’t be back.

Leave orange peel with a tablespoon of mustard on each piece of peel and them around the boundary of your garden as cats hate these two things and will be afraid to go near them.

EDIT: Don’t bother with deterrent sprays and electrical battery powered repellents as I have a relative who used them and they don’t work very well.

you can get those cat deterrent devices they run on batteries or mains and its a noise that cats hate ive seen then in garden centres for about £19.99 most people buy them to stop the cats messing in the garden,

If you don’t want to poison them, try catching them and taking them to the shelter? I am a firm believer that people with cats and dogs should keep them in their own yards.

Run electric wire round the outside of your garden or the area you don’t want them on.

Ummmm u could use orange peels mustard and pepper or you could put hot sauce on the trail like alot of it or something foul tasting. You could use something really bad smelling and strong smelling because cats have sensitive noses or the bitter vinegor suff you put on your hands to stop pets from biting take that stuff like 3 bottles and dump it on the trail and on the stuff around the trail. Its really inexpensive.

Let your dog take them away from your garden.

Cats have instinct. Going through your garden means a perfect safe route for them. But, instead of thinking how to totally get rid of them, why not befriend and treat them nice as your pet buddy. Afterward, show them how certain rules exist. The latter will follow.
