can someone help with the following questions dealing with subordinating conjunctions and gerunds?

Combine the following sentences using a subordinating conjunction?
a. The restaurant opened. The chief arrived.
b. He will take the test on one condition. The condition is that he must feel well enough.

10. Combine the following paris of sentences using gerunds:
a. Maria gardens. That is Maria’s favorite pastime.
b.We eat fried chicken. We enjoy it.
c. I put up posters. That brightened up the room.

    Here’s a list of subordinating conjuctions. A subordinating conjunction is a word that introduces an adverb clause.

    10a. GardenING is Maria’s favorite pastime.
